What is Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy?

1. Ego state therapy theorizes that clients with unmet developmental needs (parental drew-hays-26241-unsplashrejection, neglect, enmeshment, and/or abuse) may be stuck in childhood.

2. Therapy helps a client be unstuck by helping them process painful emotions, and establishing an emotional bond with the therapist.

3. Therapy includes alternating bilateral stimulation (EMDR)

4. Working with the client on the childhood wounds decreases unwanted behaviors, beliefs, and emotions.
